The cmi5 source specification: the course structure, launch mechanism and statement rules that sit on top of xAPI and replace what SCORM did around the content.

- xAPI specification and conformance suite (ADL, GitHub) (opens in a new tab)
The specification itself, alongside the LRS conformance test suite. ADL retired its hosted Adopter Registry on 18 November 2025 and adlnet.gov has been unreachable since around May 2026, so the GitHub org is now the durable home for both — and there is no longer any public list of which products passed the suite.

An experimental proposal for a learning-activity standard intended to succeed SCORM, H5P and LTI. Early enough to watch rather than adopt, and included because nothing else is currently attempting it.

Which products have passed 1EdTech certification, for which specification and which version, with the date. The reference point for LTI claims.

Rustici’s list of products that have implemented xAPI. Vendor-run rather than neutral, but the entries are specific and worth reading before you take a marketing page at its word.

The de facto discovery route for SCORM code: roughly sixty repositories under the scorm topic and eighteen under cmi5, unsorted, unlabelled and undated. Much of this directory was mined from them.

A curated list for instructional designers — the closest existing list to this directory, and not specific to SCORM.

Its Learning and Courses section covers the self-hostable learning platforms — Moodle, Chamilo, ILIAS, OpenOLAT and the rest — without the standards detail, but with the licences.

The list that does not exist
There is no awesome-scorm on GitHub. For a standard this widely deployed, that is a strange gap, and it is a large part of why this directory exists. We generate one from the same data these pages are built from; it will be linked here once it is published.
